Pottstown Bible Church opened its doors on October 31st 2003 on the 400 block of High Street in downtown Pottstown, Pennsylvania. The church was looking for an affordable place to rent with enough space to have church and the property on High Street fit that description perfectly. As a church we quickly learned that the Pottstown Community was a place that was filled with people who are hurting physically, emotionally and spiritually and that God had called Pottstown Bible Church to help meet those needs. As a church community we believe:
All people are created in the image of God regardless of race or beliefs (Genesis 1:26-27)
God does not judge anyone to be better than anyone else (Acts 10:34, Deuteronomy 10:17,
Job 34:19)
Jesus says that when we serve others, it is like we are serving Him personally –
and if we don’t serve others its like we don’t know Him at all (Matthew 25:35-46)
As a church we are to be merciful and gracious to others because God himself is gracious to us
(Ephesians 4:32 5:1-2, I Peter 2:8)
Pottstown Bible Church lives out these beliefs by opening our doors to anyone who cares to walk through them. Church services are “come as you are” with lively worship music and bible-based sermons. Weekly meals are provided to all community members, regardless of church affiliation and church attendance is not required. Non-perishable food items and toiletries are given out on a regular basis from our food pantry. Haircuts by a licensed hairstylist are available on a monthly basis and soon we will have a medical clinic with healthcare services available to the public. There is much more to Pottstown Bible Church than can be put into print, we welcome you to visit in person!
